Information Architecture Basics
We had so many sign up for this session last month that we had to stop accepting registrations. As a result, we're making it available again on August 3rd and August 5th.
When information portals have problems, the cause is almost always related to a weak or non-existent Information Architecture. The technology works fine, but the way the content is labeled and displayed--or how terminology is used to share, save, find and retire content--is confusing or non-intuitive. Or site navigation includes so many unnecessary steps that Users stop using--and the organization stops benefiting from--what should be a mission critical collaboration platform.
This session will look at the basics for creating an effective Information Architecture and the critical role it plays in the success of any Intranet, Extranet, SharePoint or Information Portal project.
Who should attend? Senior and Departmental Business Executives, IT Management, Web and Application specialists, Intranet support specialists or anyone who has ever asked, What can we do to help improve the effectiveness of our Intranet, Extranet, SharePoint or Portal projects?.
