Product Launch and Support
CombineNet
CombineNet produces customizable web-based software that captures and evaluates supplier bids for products or services. This software has multiple user audiences. i-Squared produced a multi-volume documentation set using our single source methodology that was easily ported to online help and extracted for language translation.
Dynavox Systems, LLC Dynavox was in need of user documentation and online help to accompany a new product release within a short amount of time and had no available internal resources to accomplish the task. i-Squared used its single source content methodology along with FrameMaker to author the user guide and reuse the content for online help. The end product was delivered to Dynavox on time and was distributed to the customers along with the product release.
Best NOMOS, a division of Best Medical Products
i-Squared helped Best NOMOS revise their documentation for their flagship product, CORVUS, which is a treatment delivery system that produces custom radiation therapy plans for cancer patients. i-Squared delivered a multi-volume documentation set that reflected a major upgrade to their product. Using FrameMaker, the documentation set was extensively overhauled to meet new requirements. To this day, Best NOMOS relies on i-Squared to maintain the CORVUS product documentation set.
i-Squared also helps Best NOMOS keep documentation up-to-date for their other products including BAT, PEREGRINE, and most recently, nomosSTAT.
Turning Technologies, LLC Turning Technologies used i-Squared to produce quality documentation for its product line and to develop a repeatable process for that documentation. As a result, i-Squared is able to leverage its single source methodology to produce user guides, online help files, and training materials, thereby reducing development costs and avoiding the need to update multiple pieces of content when product changes are made. In addition, Turning receives product usability feedback that ultimately helps to make their products better.
Vocollect
i-Squared designed and created an electronic end-user product guide for publication and distribution on CD-ROM, using HTML and various Internet technologies. The Talkman e-Guide supports Vocollect’s Talkman product, a wearable voice computer system that gives mobile industrial workers access to the central computers that manage warehouse and factories.
The Talkman e-Guide provides Vocollect’s customers with a comprehensive, centralized knowledge resource, serving both systems administrators and users. The e-Guide offers a web-modeled resource that supplies training and troubleshooting capabilities, and step-by-step procedures, as well as detailed diagnostic and technical configuration data. Based on principles of web design, the e-Guide gives Vocollect and its customers an economical and intuitive knowledge set. This customized solution was developed exclusively for Vocollect by i-Squared, using our knowledge management methodologies. It has allowed Vocollect to better serve their valued customers, and further leverage the human and technological resources that have made them successful.
i-Squared received an Award for Excellence from the Society for Technical Communication for its development of Vocollect’s TalkMan e-Guide.
