Optiron, Inc.
When Optiron made a decision to outsource all of its technical documentation needs to i-Squared, it became i-Squared’s first BPO (business process outsourcing) customer. We first built a documentation strategy that was recommended as a fully fledged knowledge transfer system. This solution would ensure a smooth transition and enable their customers to quickly and thoroughly understand the complex application. We created a detailed list of required documents for hard copy and on-line distribution, an in-depth project schedule, and staffed the project with five i-Squared professionals. We completed the users manual for over 1000 forms in seven months.

SimMedical, LLC
SimMedical is a new startup offering software to be used in a simulation-based training facility. The software idea came from work done at the University of Pittsburgh’s WISER Institute, and is used by doctors, students, administrators, registrars, etc. within the training center to assign and track the various training sessions. i-Squared created user documentation for each user type and, using our single source methodology, developed online help files.

SMS Demag
An i-Squared team developed and composed extensive, multi-volume operations and maintenance documentation for an international engineering firm, establishing document control; tracking information, technical data, and technical drawings; establishing review cycles and signoff; and consolidating documentation development with the engineering process. The work was performed specifically to help the client meet its contractual obligation for the design, erection, and commissioning of electric arc furnaces, ladle metallurgy furnaces, three-strand bloom casters, and vacuum tank de-gassers.

Sunoco Chemicals
Sunoco uses a number of off-the-shelf technologies to perform a variety of business functions such as product recipe tracking and product shipment tracking. These technologies are modified to perform the functions according to Sunoco’s business processes. i-Squared has documented the modified application to provide instructions for internal users.

Union Switch & Signal
i-Squared logged many hours with Union Switch & Signal. All projects required i-Squared to work closely with design engineers to understand the sophisticated train control software or hardware. i-Squared was responsible for all aspects of the projects from concept through delivery.
