Great American Federal
i-Squared produced a manual of programming standards for Great American Federal’s MIS department. The project involved an extensive audit and study of Great American’s existing programming policies and guidelines. Once this information was compiled, i-Squared conducted extensive interviews with MIS managers and programmers. An itemized list of guidelines was developed and carefully reviewed by Great American Federal. After an official list of guidelines was approved, i-Squared researched and wrote each guideline for Great American, creating a comprehensive MIS programming manual.
i-Squared subcontracted to Jefferson Wells to complete a large Sarbanes-Oxley project for a worldwide provider of network services and systems. Jefferson Wells completed the internal IT audit, while i-Squared documented the existing procedures and authored the IT Narrative required for the external audit. The project, which was executed by a project team of six Information Architects and a project manager, encompassed a little more than seven months during which 135 documents for a total of 1,221 pages were created. i-Squared worked with 25 customer locations throughout the United States and Europe.
i-Squared performed an extensive Standard Operating Procedure project for this large, mining hardware manufacturer headquartered in Pittsburgh, with manufacturing plants in seven states. When Jennmar approached us, they had almost no documentation detailing their day-to-day operations for the seven plants, and very little standardization across the operations. i-Squared specialists spent a few days at a Jennmar plant, interviewing, observing, and analyzing processes in order to produce prototype procedures. We tracked and identified nearly five hundred separate operational and payroll procedures across the seven plants, and composed a taut, cost-efficient strategy for writing, reviewing, and standardizing procedures. In the end, we left the client with a comprehensive picture of its involved, successful operations, something they had never had before and a large important first step in their pursuit of ISO certification.
i-Squared consultants created a consolidated documentation infrastructure for all of PNC Bank’s branch operations. The project first required a comprehensive list of branch policies and procedures. i-Squared consultants conducted interviews with PNC staff and instituted documentation standards for branch operation across the enterprise. Using the list, we developed all of the branch operations’ procedures, gathering information through research and participation in project and product team meetings. Our consultants were responsible for the complete creation of procedures, from draft stage, through extensive PNC review, to actual printing and distribution.
i-Squared assisted Sunoco Chemicals during their Sarbanes Oxley remediation effort by creating a Disaster Recovery plan along with procedural documentation in support of their IT network and cataloging the documentation for use by the auditors in their SharePoint Intranet site.
